This game is a nail biter. I am not a follower of any religion but I still found the theme unique and refreshing. Gameplay wise the game has a nice mix of deck building, tactical war gaming, command token resource management and asymmetrical player powers. Thats a recipe for some tuff choices both tactical and strategic. The scaling maps force the players to get down to business. All in all I look forward to play this game again.

It got a really good theme, and it fits with the game and mechanic. You really feel the crowd of a tight war with all the pieces. I’m not a really big fan at war games because I suck at strategy in war games, but I think this is a solid one, and it’s not a glorified Risk. And your strategy is more important than the dice, you could come back from bad dice with good strategy.

It feels a little bit like Chess - but on steroids - with also some deckbuilding and a lot of dice rolling (I LOVE Dice). So this unique mixture is just my cup of tea and I think there is quite a lot of depth to it. The different leader characters (Archangels and Archdemons) and the random card offer ensure variability and replayability. 4-player game is epic - awesome!
