In Prelude 2 you are thrown right into the action, not only on Mars, but on Venus and the colonies as well, and the political arena is set for turmoil as you jumpstart your game.

With actions and effects on your Preludes, Mars will never be the same again!

In Prelude 2, most of the cards are specifically connected to other expansions of Terraforming Mars (Venus Next, Colonies, Turmoil). The 4 corporations and 13 of the Prelude cards are playable without any of these expansions though.

This is the best extension of TF mars so far. Speeds up the game and extends the engine options

The basegame is a great game. With this expansion it is even better... The core of this Expansion are the prelude cards. Those cards are boosts for the start. At the beginning you choose prelude cards in addition to your company and starting cards. You choose each of those kinds of cards at the same time. Which means you can specialmore or just plan better. In my opinion it is a must have for all Terraforming Mars Enjoyer. Never again without it!
