This is a ticket to participate in the Swedish Championship in Terraforming Mars 2026.
The Swedish Championship is held at the FryxGames headquarters in Karlstad, Sweden, on Saturday October 3rd, from 08:00 to 23:00.
All participants get:
– A place in the tournament, with 3 guaranteed qualifying matches to play
– 1 copy of the Winter Season Promo (released on December 1st)
– A 20% discount on games in our shop (10% on already discounted items). This doesn’t apply to food or snacks, only games.
All finalists additionally get a prize token!
3rd-5th place get 500 SEK worth of products from our shop
2nd place gets 1000 SEK worth of products from our shop
Winner gets 2000 SEK worth of products from our shop
Tournament Rules:
All players play 3 qualifying games, each game with 4 players (or 3 players if odd number of players).
Winning a game gives 4 tournament points (tp), other players get 3 tp / 2 tp / 1 tp respectively (or 4 to / 2 tp / 1 tp in a 3 player game).
Players also receive 0.1 tp for each milestone and award won in each qualifying game.
In qualifying games 2 and 3, you will face opponents with tp close to yours.
After the qualifying games, the 4 players with the highest tp get to play the final (or 5 players if 2 players are tied for 4th place, or 3 players if 3 or more players are tied for 4th place).
All games will be played with drafting from generation 2 and onward, and with the starting conditions presented in Prelude 2 (choose among 3 corporations and 6 preludes).
No promo cards will be used for this tournament.
There will be a time limit which we hope will not be enforced. When the time limit is reached, players finish the current generation, which results in end game scoring even if not all parameters are maxed out. During this end game scoring, players take turns doing 1 action each to place their final greeneries and increasing temperature with remaining heat, gaining any Terraform Rating left on the board. Because of the Time Limit, players may not intentionally stall the game, and suspicions of stalling will results in warnings and eventually a deduction of Terraform Rating for that player. To avoid stalling, please think through your actions before your turn comes and make play as smooth as possible for everyone.
We also expect players to help each other remember effects that trigger, even for other players, to avoid having to backtrack later.

15:15 Match 3: Played on Elysium with Prelude 1 & 2, Venus Next, and Colonies.
18:15 Time Limit Match 3
19:00 Final Match: Played on Amazonis Planitia with Prelude 1 & 2, Venus, Colonies, Turmoil. No Time Limit.
Other players are free to eat and play other games in the venue.

Additional Information
We will sell food, snacks, and drinks in our venue. For warm food, we will set up a grill for lunch and dinner time where we will offer hamburgers. There will also be frozen meals for sale that you can heat in the microwaves on the upper floor. There will be vegetarian and vegan options available.
If you need to spend the night (from Friday – Saturday or Saturday – Sunday) you can bring your own mattress and sleep on the warehouse floor, free of charge. Shower is available, as well as a fridge to store your own food.
